So-Gal's Recipe: Pumpkin Pie


I made this scrumptious pie yesterday in celebration of the first day of fall (yippee for cooler weather!).

You will need:
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup of evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt
  • 1/2 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp. of maple flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • 1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
  • Whipped cream (optional)
1. In a large bowl, beat the first ten ingredients until smooth. Pour into pastry shell.
2. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes.
3. Reduce heat to 350; bake 45-50 minutes.
4. Cool on a wire rack. Enjoy!
