Baby Dedication

Here are some pictures from the baby's dedication on Mother's Day. It was a very special time for our family!

Okay, so not the greatest pictures in the world. :)

The life verse that we've chosen for the baby is Zephaniah 3:17: "The Lord your God is in your midst, a Mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing."

Well, Hello!

Whoa. I didn't realize I hadn't blogged in nearly a month. That's a new low!

Isn't it funny how blogs reflect our lives? So, yes, I literally haven't had time to sit down and write a blog post since May 5th!

So, let me catch you up on our lives--really, really quickly.

The hubby is officially Dr. Hubby. Woot woot! The in-laws came in town for graduation. There was lots of yummy food consumption, a few tearing up moments from me, a million pictures, and lots of playing on my iPhone at two long graduations.

Oh! And, we've been partying--majorly partying! Our friends threw a surprise going away party for us, then I threw a surprise graduation party for the hubbs, and then I threw a lingerie shower and a bachelorette party for my sister!

Oh yeah, my sister got married last weekend! We spent five wonderful days at Big Cedar Lodge--hanging out at the pool, drinking lots of champagne and margaritas, watching fireworks, laughing with family and friends, dancing like crazy people until 12:30 at night, sunbathing and sunburning, and eating copious amounts of high-caloried goodness.

Okay, so we've covered graduation, partying, and wedding.

Let's back-track. Our house. Yes, up until we sold it, I would have told you that I loved every square inch of that sweet home. We brought out babies home there. We started off marriage there. But the truth? I HATED living in that damn house. Our neighbors were, as I like to say, coo-coo for cocoa puffs. Slandered us on-line, talked about us on television, had their friends drive by our house and honk to wake up our babies, cussed us out. You name it, the crazies did it. And while we quietly counted down the months, and kept detailed records of their craziness (yes, we literally have video footage), we swore we could not get out of that house fast enough and that we would be screening our next door neighbors from now on. #kidding #maybeimnotkidding

But we sold that baby in FOUR DAYS! And for $11,000.00 more than we bought it for! Woot woot! So, there was lots of packing, uhauling, and celebrating!

The hubbs and my father-in-law drove alllll of our stuff up to Virginia!

Oh yeah, Virginia.

I should probably update you on that.

So, my husband is moving in five days. Five days, people! In five days, it's officially me and the little boys! I'm so excited for him to start residency and to get settled in Virginia, but I'm not looking forward to the months apart.

Let me explain.

My husband is--clearly--moving up there before we are. With three weddings in three months, we decided that it would be too expensive and too complicated with the little boys to not have a place to live in VA and to be coming back and forth. So, we're looking at beautiful homes, and YES, I am that crazy lady who is going to trust her husband enough to let him buy a house without me stepping foot in it.

What can I say? The man has impeccable taste. ;) . . . (and we have a realtor, and I've been looking at homes for three months, and I've done an insane amount of research on the amazing schools and have narrowed down the 10 school districts that we will be living in)

I feel like I'm forgetting something. . .

Oh, yes! The cherry on top!! You know my job that I absolutely, positively LOVE!? I get to keep it!!! From Virginia!!

I will be working from home, and I'm one hundred thousand million bajillion percent THRILLED about it! I really, really love my job! :)

So, that about sums it up. I will TRY to not go another month without blogging again!

Melt My Heart

This morning, I walked into the living room to find the boys snuggling and watching "How to Train Your Dragon." When the toddler saw me taking these pics, he said, "Momma, Jack is my best friend."
