Fall Family Photos

Winter Running

 Winter running is proving to be... difficult. For one, my early, early start time doesn't work when it's below freezing outside! I am having to wait until the temperature comes up--which I don't love, because I love running FIRST THING in the morning! And sometimes, like today, it's too cold to go running at all! (Side note: Thanks to COVID and the fact that my children are with me 24/7, I can only run outside pushing a stroller.) BUT a week ago, we were gifted THE perfect running morning, and all the kiddos accompanied me! It reminded me of all our runs over the summer with the five of us! Fun! Nathan scootered for three miles, Jack skateboarded for three miles (impressive, right!?), and I ran pushing princess C and a storm trooper for three miles. The perfect morning, as far as I'm concerned!

Charlotte's Christmas Dress

 Well, my mama did it again! She made the perfect, most adorable little dress for Charlotte! It's only December 14, and I think she's worn it about six times already this month! My mom also monogrammed her little bloomers. Cutie alert! Cutie alert!

A Happy Weekend!

 Boy oh boy, did the Ryans have a very happy weekend! First up? We bought OUR DREAM HOUSE!! I cannot begin to explain how excited I am!! I can't wait to watch my babies grow up in this house and to use this house for God's glory! It will be a home full of sweet memories, laughter, love, Jesus, good food and drink, and friends and family! I just know it!

The very next day, Scott took the boys to watch LRCA play PA in the state finals! SO FUN! And when you have to wear a mask?? Well, then your momma just puts face paint on your forehead! We did get annihilated, but the kiddos had fun--that's all that counts, really!

Gobble, Gobble!

 Like everything else this year, Thanksgiving was unique! We went over to my parents' house and mostly stayed outside, socially distanced. Nana and Mitch joined us, which made the day extra special! I baked an apple pie and a pumpkin pie, and I made mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. Thanksgiving was still a yummy day!

Happy Halloween At Home!

 This Halloween, given that we're in the middle of a global pandemic, we decided to follow the CDC's guidelines and STAY HOME! So, no trick or treating this year. No handing out candy. Weird! We still managed to have a lot of fun at home, though! {And you better believe I still had plenty of candy for my boys!}

We painted pumpkins and bobbed for apples. Fun, fun!

This And That

 WOW. November has been a crazy month! I can't wait to publicly share some information, but I'll hold off on that for now. Suffice it to say, I've felt like my head is whirling a bit these days! Thank goodness for iPhones and the ability to snap a pic quickly. Charlotte is getting so big! Notice in these pics how she scrunches up her nose when she smiles. It's too cute!

My mom made this corduroy turkey dress for Charlotte. We went together to the Stitchin' Post and picked out the fabric. I think that's so fun! My mom whipped this out seriously fast. I'm so impressed with her sewing; I'll never be the seamstress she is!

Just a little pant suit for our future attorney, okay!?

Of course, it's US so we've managed to break away into the woods once or twice. Always HEAVEN. In these pics, we're smiling REAL BIG because of some happy national news that we found out in the middle of our hike!

Henry still changes his name daily and there are multiple costumes changes as well. Here he is as "Spacey the Space Guy."

And here he is as "Dr. Ryan, Vas-clee-ur Surgeon." Haha!

Baby sister sits in the grass on Tuesdays while the boys have their tennis lessons. To be honest, it's not sweet time. It's more like torture time. Last week, I called Poison Control for the first time in over a decade of parenting because I looked over and Charlotte had a mushroom in her mouth. Good grief!

Jack presented Sir Edmund Hillary to his second grade class on "Hero in History Day." I'm so proud of this boy! He's a great speaker and I believe he will grow to become a great leader one day!

There's a storm trooper in my kitchen! {He's four years old and super cute!}
