Last Day of Preschool Party

Today, I hosted a party at the house for Jack's preschool class to celebrate the last day of school! It has been a precious year at our new preschool, and this was a sweet time to play with friends and enjoy each other's company.

My Cutie Pies

Aren't they the cutest!?

Henry's Baby Dedication

On May 14th, we had Henry's baby dedication at church. This is so dear to my heart, as I pray over each of my children every day. I yearn for them to follow the Lord.

The life verses that we chose for Henry are 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: "Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love."

When we made it back home, Henry was exhausted. It was so cute! I don't know that I've ever seen him this tired, but still awake!

Muffins With Mom

Jack's preschool had a "Muffins with Mom" breakfast. It was precious! I love my Jack so, so much. He thrives in just about every single environment he's put in, and school is no exception. I loved eating breakfast with him and watching him play with his friends. Such a special morning!

Scott's 30th Birthday

Yesterday, this handsome man of mine turned thirty! We celebrated with cake, gifts, and supper!

The boys were "in charge" of his decorations. They colored lots of pictures and we hung them around the dining room.

Scott requested spinach and artichoke dip, sausage pinwheels, and buttermilk fried chicken for his dinner.

Happy birthday to my very best friend!

30th Birthday Getaway!

I know that I am so behind on blogging, because I've been thirty for over a month now! But, oh well! I want to remember this special trip that I took with my mom to the Inn at Willow Grove in Orange, Virginia last month.

My mom planned the entire trip and surprised me. It was so much fun! We had a really relaxing time--going antiquing, eating fabulous (!!) meals, and enjoying each other's company. I can't wait for the time--perhaps in just a few years--when my mom and I can get away for little trips every year!

We also visited James Madison's home, Montpellier. We watched a huge storm blow in from the house, and I've never seen wind like that. It was crazy!

On our last day of the trip, my mom had planned for us to hike in Shenandoah National Park. Well, it was unexpectedly thirty-two degrees and blowing snow (see the snow in the background?), so we hiked for all of about ten minutes!

It was a really special way to celebrate turning thirty. Thanks, Mom!
