Playing Catch Up

Oh, hi there! Remember me? The mama who runs this household and this blog!?

Present!!

I absolutely can believe that this is the longest blogging pause in the six years I've written our family's story on here. Life.has.been.crazytownUSA.

Scott has been gone for the better part of two months, interviewing for vascular fellowship positions. And to be honest, I've been running from one thing to the next, trying to keep all the balls in the air.

Henry is now six and a half months old! Geesh! He hasn't had any more ear infections so far, thank goodness. He's sitting up, babbling all day long, taking three naps a day, still nursing, and eating baby food.

Nathan and Jack are still in school five days a week, working and playing hard (and wearing me out!).

I'm writing this down, to remember what my days look like right now:

5:00-6:00 AM: Wake up
6:05 AM: Greeted by Nathan and Jack, being loud and demanding breakfast
6:10 AM: Get bacon and sausage frying, pour milk in Nathan's cereal, vitamins and juice for the boys
6:12 AM: Go down to my office, turn on my computer, check e-mails
6:40 AM: Turn on the news, tell Nathan to go get dressed
6:55 AM: Review Jack's letters, brush Nathan's teeth, wash his face, and fix his hair
6:55 AM: Henry wakes up
7:00 AM: Nurse Henry
7:15 AM: Walk Nathan out to the bus
7:55 AM: Put Henry down for a nap
8:20 AM: Get Jack dressed and ready for school
8:40 AM: Get Jack and Henry into the car
8:55 AM: Drop Jack off at school
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Work, work, work, and laundry, and nursing Henry, and errands, and breakfast and lunch for myself somewhere in there, and lunch for Henry
1:00 PM: Pick up Jack from school
1:15 PM: Put Jack down for a nap
2:00 PM: Put Henry down for a nap
2:25 PM: Go out to bus stop to get Nathan
2:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Work, work, work, and homework, and after school snacks, and unpacking backpacks, and playing outside
4:00 PM: Henry wakes up and nurses
4:30 PM: Get started making dinner
5:00 PM: Dinner on table
5:15-5:45 PM: Work, and let the boys watch some TV
5:50 PM: Bath time for the boys
6:20 PM: Pajamas and bedtime story
7:00 PM: Lights out for Nathan and Jack
7:20 PM: Lights out for Henry
7:30 PM - 9:45 PM: Laundry, work, cleaning the house, packing the next day's school lunches, a bit of sewing
10:00 PM: TV time
10:50 PM: Bedtime for tired mama

And in the midst of that, there's a career I'm juggling, swim team, swim lessons, being snack mom, church, Awana, educational instruction for three growing boys, and on and on. These days are LONG. LONG.
