Charlotte’s Nursery

I loved designing and decorating Nathan and Jack’s nautical nurseries and Henry’s Beatrix Potter nursery, and it was just a dream to put together a little girl nursery for Charlotte, with the theme being “a rose garden.” Of course, after a decade of blues and greens, I’m pretty much insisting on all pink for this little lady. The nursery reflects that, I think! We cannot wait for her to join us!

A Trip Around Texas

It was the last week my doctor would let me travel. So, why not travel alone with three children?! This, I suppose, was the thought floating innocently enough in my head. So, feeling totally capable, I loaded up the kiddos and visited some dear, dear friends I hadn’t seen in years. The boys were, to be honest, pretty terribly behaved—which made the trip a bajillion times more exhausting than I was anticipating. But it was “good for the soul,” as they say, to sit down with old friends and catch up—stay up late, reminisce about college, watch our little ones play together. Sweet. And worth it.

Lone Star Flight Museum

Last week, I took the boys to the Lonestar Flight Museum. They had so much fun!! My brother met up with us, and we were both really impressed with this little-known museum. We will definitely be back!

Nathan’s 9th Birthday

We have had such a joyful time celebrating Nathan’s 9th Birthday! We celebrated first at the beach, then in Arkansas, and finally here in Texas on his actual birthday! Happy birthday to this boy who loves books, Minecraft, catching lizards and frogs, sports, and playing with his friends!
