Charlotte's First Birthday Party!

Of course, Charlotte's first birthday was not at all what I had been dreaming it might be. I really felt that we could not safely have people over, even in the yard. So, it was just us + my mom. We had a sweet time celebrating our favorite baby girl! 

She got her first baby doll! Since then, she's completely obsessed! Her babies need kisses at least five times a day!

Cake time was a MESS!! She destroyed the cake, and it was hysterical to watch!

We adore you, Charlotte Emily! You make our lives happy and joyful and blessed and WONDERFUL! Happy first birthday, angel girl!

The Start of School

 I can post these "first day of school" pictures with a bit of a lighter chest than I had when I first took them. I had struggled with the decision to send my children to school in the midst of a global pandemic, and it has been much less scary than I was anticipating. The boys are SO happy at their new school! Praise God!

The Fourth of July

 Wow! Can you tell I'm playing catch up in my phone photos and on the blog!? Good grief! Nothing like a blog post about July 4th posted on August 11th! :) I think that's a new low for me!

Our Little Summer

 So, I am going to be very honest: we have seen no one. We are taking COVID-19 as seriously as it very much should be taken. Thus, we keep to ourselves (and my parents!). So, every weekday morning, we go for a run and every afternoon we go for a little walk, just to get out of the house and enjoy being outside. The children burn off some energy and soak up some vitamin D. I will miss this when the boys start school in a week.

Weekend At The Lake

We went to Greer's Ferry Lake this past weekend, and had SO. MUCH. FUN. We literally haven't been anywhere or seen anyone since March, so our little bubble headed to the lake to relax and laugh. We celebrated my brother's 27th birthday, and soaked up every minute!
