Anniversary Trip To Charleston

We did it, people. We broke away from our precious kiddos for four whole days and escaped to Charleston, South Carolina to celebrate our fifth anniversary! In short, it was heaven. We ate at fabulous restaurants (the ones I'd recommend most are Husk, Poogan's Porch, Poe's Tavern, and Hominy Grill), went shopping on King $treet, and did whatever the heck we wanted to!

Pinch me. For real!

We visited Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach as well. We stayed at the Francis Marion downtown, which I would highly recommend! And we stayed at Waters Edge Inn in Folly Beach, which was the cutest thing I'd ever seen! Of course, both had been written up in Southern Living, so I knew we couldn't go wrong.

Our anniversary isn't until next month, but this was when my hubby had vacay. So, celebrate we did! :)

Hurry! Let's get out of the driveway!
Dinner the first night at Poogan's Porch. So fab.
Brunch at Hominy Grill. If you go, get the Nasty Charleston. And two mimosas, but of course!
Hat shopping!
At Waterfront Park! The sailboats and the pier--just gorgeous!
By rainbow row!
Walking around Sullivan's Island!
Beach bums!
At Magnolia Plantation! If you go, bring sunscreen!

Gator at Magnolia Plantation. There are lots!

Battery Park--those trees! So beautiful!

It was wonderful to get away with my main man. We enjoyed every second of our trip! So relaxing--just what we needed!
