Today, I loaded up my enormous Brighton tote bag with snacks, the camera, cash, juice, wipes, and all the other essentials for spending a few hours downtown. I love Little Rock's downtown. I enjoy exploring all the shops and restaurants and museums. It's just a cool place to hangout, okay? :)
When I go, it's usually for book work, and today was no different. We met up with some of our friends and checked out a waaaay fun playdate spot. Definitely will be making its way into the book!
And then we ate lunch in the River Market. I was already freezing, and so I had the brilliant idea to order a huge smoothie from Tropical Smoothie. (This is why my lips are purple in these pictures, in case you were wondering.)
Although I think I said, "Stop that!" and "No!" and "Get up off the floor!" about fifty-nine times, we had a wonderful time with good friends enjoying the downtown atmosphere and discovering a new (free!) playdate location. Fun, fun!
And now, I have to go check on my lemon cheesecake bars that are in the oven. Be looking for the recipe soon on the blog. . .if they turn out as scrumptious as they sound!
Go do something fun and random and adventurous with your little one/ones today! I'm serious, load up your tote bag and head out the door!
