Halloween

[Disclaimer: I know it's November 4th and not October 31st. . . but I'm blogging about Halloween on November 4th. So there.]

Every single day for 31 days, the toddler answered this question the same way: "What are you going to be for Halloween?"

Emphatically, irrevocably, with every ounce of adrenaline, testosterone, and determination that his little body could muster: "A JET AIRPLANE."

A jet airplane. Not exactly the easiest costume to make, but c'est la vie! The boy gave me no choice! :)

I am respectful of my friends who choose not to recognize Halloween. That being said, I love Halloween! I think it's so much fun! Dressing up in a costume, making cute food, getting together with friends, staying up late, and eating tons of candy. . . sign me up! So this year, we hosted a little Halloween party for some friends. It was a blast! The dads decided to all dress up like the guys from Duck Dynasty, which pretty much made everyone die laughing. And I kept hearing, "What a cute costume!" as the toddler was trick-or-treating [cue Momma beaming with pride].

Bloodshot eyeball cupcakes!
Thing 1
He wanted to wear his firefighter helmet!
The cutest pumpkin I've ever seen!
These two are T-R-O-U-B-L-E! ;)
Thing 2
All the kiddos!
Jet airplane man!
Enjoying a sucker!
I can't even tell you how hard I laughed.
Hello? Trick or treat!
He's so cute, I just can't stand it!
He was very proud of his wings that Daddy made!
Hi! We're normal!
Trick or treating with Thing 1 and the jet airplane!
How hard is it to keep a bunch of kiddos from running into the street? HARD.
Love these sweet girls!
Me and the toddler :)
Precious boy!

Our Halloween was so much fun! The toddler is pretty much convinced that Halloween is the greatest day of the year. HA! :) This was the first year he really, truly "got it," and it made my heart just want to explode as I watched him run up to the houses all by himself and say, "Trick or treat!" :)
