A Slithery Run

Last weekend, Scott and I decided to go for a 3.5 mile run. . . while pushing the boys in the jogging stroller. In case you're wondering if it's easy to push a 34 lb boy and a 36 lb boy in a 20 lb stroller while running, I will tell you with certainty, it's not.

We were running along, listening to some music, when suddenly Scott said, "A snake!"

Sure enough. There was the smallest little 6" snake I'd ever seen.

I thought we'd look at it and admire it. But that's a woman's thinking, I guess. And in my household, testosterone generally rules the day.

My husband went dashing after it and grabbed it. {Cue me: "Okay, wasn't expecting that!"}

Nathan was in HEAVEN, I tell you. HEAVEN.

Scott let him hold it for about five minutes. We stomached all the "are you crazy!?" stares from other runners that we could handle after five minutes, and Nathan released the little guy.

What a memorable run!
